Simmental - Angus - Sim-Angus

We are a family farming operation located in Southeast Georgia, near the town of Collins. Our primary agricultural enterprises are purebred Black Simmental, purebred Black Angus and SimAngus Composite seedstock. Our farm also produces annually in excess of 400,000 broiler chickens in cooperation with Fries Farms of Claxton, GA.

Our Cattle Operation

We operate our cattle business as practical as possible, mirroring the surrounding commercial cattle operations, so that our bulls can go into a commercial herd and perform without ever letting up. We currently have two purebred black Simmental bulls, one PB Black Angus Bull that will sell in the 2nd Annual Optimum Beef Bulls Development Program. They will sell in the 2nd annual Optimum Beef Bulls Sale on Friday March 21, 2008. Our farm is located in Tattnall County, Georgia. We are only 17 miles South of I-16, just East of Hwy. 57. The mild climate, coupled with an abundant supply of broiler litter fertilizer makes it possible for us to produce quality forage crops year round.

We recently purchased the commercial cowherd of Rhonda's father and leased his 100 acres of pasture land that adjoins our own farm. Our cowherd now numbers 40 PB Simmental cows, 20 PB Black Angus and 80 commercial Simmental X Angus cows that we will use for recipients in our embryo transfer program. We have cows, heifers and bulls for sale at the farm year round. Give us a call and let's discuss what we have to offer.
